At Kassablanca Club in Jena, 14 German independent record stores were honoured for keeping music culture alive with their passion, creativity and dedication.

🏆 Ten specialist stores won in the main category ‘Best Record Store’, each receiving 15,000 euros:

✨ The Düsseldorf record store A&O Medien was also awarded the prize for ‘Outstanding Record Store – Innovation’ and received prize money of €25,000.
🌱 The Sweetwater Recordstore in Dresden received €25,000 in the category ‘Outstanding Record Store – Structurally Weak Region’.
🚀 The Sound Store Wiedenbrück also won €25,000 as ‘Outstanding Record Store – New Start-up’.
In addition, an undotated seal of approval as ‘Best Record Store’ was awarded to HHV Records in Berlin, whose annual turnover has averaged over one million euros over the past three years.
All award-winning record stores received the seal of approval as an ‘Excellent Place of Culture’ to display in their stores, as well as a 7‘ organic vinyl record with two tracks (A-side: “Schallentin” by Twit One, B-side: ’Zeitenwende” by fastmusic) specially produced by handle with care.
