The concerts of the artist, born in Breitenworbis/Thuringia, are not mere stagings of his work, but always also interaction with an audience at eye level.

Far removed from the heavily symbolic classical music or overladen pathos, the exceptional musician creates a deeply moving atmosphere on stage. Kohlstedt describes his way of working as modular composing. His pieces are constantly in motion and do not follow a fixed form in concert either. This is because improvisation is an essential part of his rousing concerts.

Now, for the first time, after more than 10 years on stage, well over 500 concerts, 6 albums, and numerous collaborations and other projects, Martin Kohlstedt releases his first album with live concert recordings. The recordings were made during his 2023 European tour.

Every intuitive improvisation took place in a different city and location and the 80min tracklist represents this wonderful journey, the beautiful countries, places and people.
