KITalbum is a hybrid physical-digital album format developed by South Korean startup KiTbetter, originally geared toward the K-pop market.

The format is now used not only by established artists on major labels, but also offered via a DIY platform for independent artists. It combines the tactile collector’s experience of physical media with the advantages of digital content.

The physical package contains collectibles such as photo cards, key chains, booklets, and other items, while digital content such as music, videos, and image galleries are made available via the KiT app. A particular advantage is the high-quality audio with Dolby Atmos and lossless digital audio, whereby all content is stored locally on the device after activation and streaming is no longer necessary.
