“Noor” is Yamila´s second album on Umor Rex (catalog UR159). In this new work, the Spanish composer intertwines strings and electronics to sculpt landscapes where listening expands toward territories of dusky beauty.

“Noor” was conceived within a secret ecological community. Inspired by ancestral rituals in which sound connected different species, Yamila reimagines that lost practice through a contemporary language of harmonies dissolving into microtones and rhythms that breathe rather than count.

Yamila’s voice intertwines with electronics and the resonant strings of Echo Collective, shifting between the monumental and the intimate. Noor sings to the living, a prayer to fertilize the earth and return its breath, music to be inhabited, breathed, and felt: epic and radiant, profoundly human, yet listening beyond the human.
