Co-produced by Gondwana Records´ mastermind Matthew Halsall, “The Eternal Now” foregrounds Chip Wickham’s mesmeric, beautiful flute playing and features two of Manchester’s finest musicians: legendary drummer Luke Flowers (The Cinematic Orchestra) and Chip’s regular collaborator Sneaky on bass as well as strings and guest vocalist PEACH.
Together, they have crafted his most progressive, rhythmically heavy release yet — a heartfelt ode to the practice of creating art, and the freedom found in letting go.
Chip explains: “The Eternal Now is a creative place where time has no purpose. Writing this album has been a deliberate journey of exploration and drive into the furthest reaches of creativity. An attempt to push myself artistically into new spaces using new colours and new energy”.
You can listen to the dramatic first single “Drifting” now and pre-order the album on LP, CD and Digital Download.
