The Sun Ra Arkestra’s album “Lights On A Satellite” has been nominated for a Grammy in 2026 in the category Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album!

The final round of voting begins on December 12th and the awards ceremony will take place on February 1st. Keep your fingers crossed for this! 🤞

After the NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship and the German Jazz Prize, the Grammy would be a fabulous crowning achievement for the now 101-year-old Marshall Allen and his Arkestra!
